JUSTIN AND ADRIENNE
Justin Kiriakis (Victor's nephew) is slowly building trust between the formerly
scared and traumatised Adrienne Johnson (sister of Jack Devereaux and Steve
Johnson). Justin, formerly a womaniser, was initially touched by
Adrienne's innocence, and is now a man in love. As Adrienne responds to
him day by day, Justin is getting closer. He realises the tenuous hold he
has on a girl with a violent upbringing and is taking it slowly.
Unfortunately
Jack's step mother, the viperous Angelica Devereaux stops Justin at a party.
Married to Jack's "father" Senator Devereaux, she is a socialite
needing excitement, and she sees excitement in Justin Kiriakis. A brief
affair between them was as Justin sees it, a mistake, but Angelica is
persistent. She insists Justin meets her in her hotel room or she will
tell little Adrienne about his indiscretions. Sighing Justin agrees to go,
finding himself stuck between a rock and hard place.
STEVE JOHNSON
Steve "Patch" Johnson, and Kayla meanwhile are keeping a low
profile. The police are after Steve, and Kayla is harbouring him in the
loft.
On this hot and steamy night, Steve and Kayla look longingly at each other.
Steve escapes to the roof, while Kayla takes a shower to cool off.
ANGELICA AND ADRIENNE
Adrienne bumps into Angelica, who appears conciliatory. Adrienne is
naturally distrustful of the manipulative socialite. But Angelica appears
friendly. She'd like to discuss Justin with Adrienne in her hotel room -
perhaps she could meet her there in a few minutes?
DETECTIVE & KAYLA
The detective bursts into Kayla's loft seeking Steve Johnson. Kayla
doesn't have a clue where he could be, and the detective leaves, annoyed at her
"innocence". He's convinced she knows more.
Steve's pleased. Kayla did well. It's hot in the apartment, and Kayla's
nervous.
